Motorola Setting Up Android Store

In a move that might confuse Android users out there, it seems that Motorola has been busy coming up with its own version of Google’s Android Market place. The folks over at Android and Me managed to catch a glimpse of it before it was hidden again. From the information that was gleaned, it seems that the app will be web-based, but there could also be an application to allow you to manage the apps on your desktop. Of course, we’ll have to see how this affects the Android Market, the last thing you’d want is for developers to have to do double work or end up focusing on one market only.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license
