Sigo S40 ready to ship

The Sigo S40 was announced a couple of months back, but it has not been shipped just yet – until now, that is. This 1080p-capable portable media player will come with 8GB of internal memory, retailing for $73 thereabouts. At that low price point, it does make one wonder whether the Sigo S40 will be the new price benchmark for 1080p-capable portable media players, but anything cheaper is always good assuming quality and performance levels are maintained.
