Sony looks set to usher in a new stage in the life of the world’s most watched sports – football (or soccer to those living Stateside), by offering next year’s World Cup campaign in 3D glory. Apparently, Sony will be recording up to 25 of the games in 3D, offering viewers an illusion of depth on the screen which ought to make those replays all the more stunning. You will still need to wear a special pair of glasses before the recorded 3D footage can be viewed though, but good thing it will be at the comfort of your own home. If you want true 3D, why not catch a flight to South Africa next summer?
