Trimble Outdoors for Android-powered devices

Trimble Outdoors for Android is all prepped up with a new version, where it targets those who have a penchant for the great outdoors while allowing folks to find their way aided by modern technology on the path less traveled, alongside the ability to capture both photos and videos of their trips while sharing it with others online. As with any other new release or update of a certain software, new features can be expected – in this case, an enhanced out-of-network GPS capability, multimedia support, a more intuitive user interface and the ability to go online while accessing content there.

From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license
