Forget about the way a traditional sand timer works in an hourglass – this USB Hourglass merges your everyday sand timer with a rotating mechanism and an optical beam that goes through the center of the timer in order to observe the falling sand. A detector on the other side will analyze the amount of light that reaches it, helping determine when is the exact moment to rotate the hourglass. All juice is made available over the USB cable, so make sure it remains plugged in somewhere at all times.
