USB Hourglass for geeks

Forget about the way a traditional sand timer works in an hourglass – this USB Hourglass merges your everyday sand timer with a rotating mechanism and an optical beam that goes through the center of the timer in order to observe the falling sand. A detector on the other side will analyze the amount of light that reaches it, helping determine when is the exact moment to rotate the hourglass.
