Verizon to offer newer Droid Eris

Verizon Wireless has announced that they will be offering the HTC Droid Eris that will come equipped with an updated version of Android, where it comes with integrated Google Maps Navigation sometime in the first quarter of next year. There isn’t much to speculate about since Google’s navigation application already runs fine on the Donut update. Just some trivia for you folks – the Droid is currently ahead of other Android devices with version 2.0.1 coming out in the next few weeks, but if Verizon’s efforts are of any indication, the Droid Eris might just end up on top.
