The Wiimote is one highly hackable device, but We’ve all been entertained by Wiimote hackery in the past, but William Luxemburg from the Delft University of Technology brings things to another notch by hacking his Wiimote to function as a water-level sensor that is capable of measuring evaporation. This is a simple and cost-effective method to arrive at similar results compared to pressure sensors that cost $500 and above. Kudos to him, but will his fellow scientists ever adopt this method in order to save costs during their experiments?
