A Taiwanese university is showing some rather interesting OLED technology. What the folks there have done is they’ve discovered a way to simulate sunlight with OLED lighting technology. This is done by varying the voltage running through the OLED panel from 3 to 9 volts, producing ambient light simulating natural light that changes from dawn to dusk. It’s quite interesting to see that a plain driver-IC can automatically modulate the voltage to render any desired color temperature between 2200 and 8000K anytime.
