Amazon has announced that authors and publishers around the world are now able to use its self-service Kindle Digital Text Platform (DTP) to upload and sell books in English, German and French to customers worldwide in the Kindle Store. Previously DTP was only available to authors and publishers who were based in the US, so it looks like Amazon is expanding its Kindle domination of the world rather nicely. Will Barnes & Noble respond (with its Nook) in any way? More details on Digital Text Platform (DTP). Press release.
