We all know that with news of Apple ready to announce its much hyped tablet device today, virtually anything else that isn’t Apple won’t light up the radar. Well, Archos goes against the grain with whispers of an Archos 7 which will be powered by Google’s Android operating system. Needless to say, the Archos 7 will follow in the footsteps of its smaller sibling, the Archos 5, by featuring a 7″ touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution, at least 8GB of storage space within, an SDHC memory card slot, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS navigation and pre-loaded Google applications to get you started. It will apparently hit the market this March from 180 Euros onwards. Truth be told? If Apple’s tablet does as well as the iPhone, everyone else might as well forget about their own tablet.
