ATOM-7x Robot Is Powered By Atom Processors

The folks over at Futurebots have come up with the ATOM-7x, and while the name of the robot stands for “Advanced Technology for Optimizing Motion”, it’s powered by 2 Atom processors. With the processors in place, the robot runs Windows XP and Windows 7 inside it, which does seem rather cool. The bunch of sensors, gyros and accelerometers should give the robot more abilities, such as advanced stereo vision. Despite the robot’s focus being on motion, there doesn’t seem to be any video of the robot in action, which is a tad disappointing to be honest.
