The Dell Mini 10v looks set to get an update in the form of a Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator – basically, this means your netbook will now be able to handle full High Definition videos (in 1080p glory) thanks to the added processing power, coupled with the latest Intel Pine Trail processor – which is basically the latest iteration of Intel’s Atom processors that were specially created just for the netbook category. Whispers have it that this HD-ready netbook will start from $425 upwards, but do take note that the glossy display could prove to be an obstacle when viewing since it is pretty hard to get that optimal viewing angle. A full battery charge is said to offer up to half a dozen hours of continuous video playback – we’ll need to get our hands on this to verify its authenticity.
