Bummer, it seems that the financial problems EA has been facing will be taking a toll on the game servers, and as such, the company will be killing off a bunch of game servers on 3 separate dates over the next few months. While it isn’t so bad that they shut down older games like FIFA 07, but what about more recent games like Madden 09? It might be a nice and convenient way to get users to (pay and) upgrade to the latest version, but honestly speaking, would you want to continue and buy recent games when you know that the game server might be shut down next year? It’s really a shame to have to see EA take this stance, but hopefully things will get better for him while he’s still here.
