Gigabyte To Jump On Android Smartphone Bandwagon

It seems that Gigabyte might want a piece of the Android smartphone pie too. With so many manufacturers scrambling to get Android-powered phones out, it’s not surprise to get wind that Gigabyte and Abocom Systems are in talks with Taiwanese mobile carrier, Vibo, to produce handsets based on the Android platform, though there isn’t any firm deal at the moment. Gigabyte already manufactures smartphones, just that they’re powered by Windows Mobile, so there’s no doubt that Gigabyte will be able to deliver a phone, though we’ll have to see whether they manage to cut a deal or not.
