
It’s still unconfirmed at this moment, but sources indicate that Google could be departing from mainland China within 2 months from now. One of the trickier bits is the stake of its Android platform, and with that in mind, about 100 of the Android engineers could stay back in China. Based on a video conference arranged at the Google China office where Sergei Brin directly addressed them, it was said that there has been no formal decision yet, and the outcome would be determined after discussions with the Chinese government.
