Intel Says i5 MacBook Pro Was A Mistake

Intel has sent out a revised email to members of the Intel Retail Edge Program, who previously received an email offering a MacBook Pro powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, changing the prize laptop offered from a Intel Core i5 MacBook Pro, to a HP ENVY laptop (which is obviously still powered by the Core i5 processor). While this is disappointing, it doesn’t mean that we won’t be offered a Core i5-powered MacBook Pro from Apple, just that Intel isn’t offering one for free at the moment, that’s all, so you can keep your fingers crossed. The statement from Intel reads:

“In our previous communications about the January prize draw, we got the processor right, but not the computer,” the new e-mail states. “When you pass this month’s trainings, you’ll be automatically eligible for 2 chances to win 1 of 2 HP ENVY laptops with the accelerated response of an Intel Core i5 processor.”

“We apologize for any confusion,” it continues. “Visit the Intel Retail Edge Program website for more great tools, sales tips, technology information, and incredible prizes!”
