We’ve all played with and love (or hate) multitouch, and multitouch support probably one of the first things people ask when faced with touchscreen devices nowadays. So far multitouch has mostly been confined to mobile phones and similar gadgets (aside from a few notebooks here and there), but could it become an integral part of an office suite in the future? An article from the NY Times indicates that Apple has been busy working on a multitouch version of iWork, and this could mean that Apple could be envisioning its iSlate tablet more than just an eReader or giant iPod. Will we be crunching numbers and typing out important documents on the iSlate when it’s finally released? Or is a multitouch iWork just a small upgrade, and not a game changer? What do you think?
