
Microsoft has gone out of its way to roll out an out-of-band patch – one that defies normal convention by not adhering to the usual Patch Tuesday release cycle in order to address the Internet Explorer flaw which was the main reason behind the attacks against Google as well as other targets in China recently. More information will be provided later today, and Microsoft hopes that customers using Internet Explorer 6 will make the upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 soonest possible.
