We previously dug up some information hinting that the newly-announced Apple iPad might be capable of taking photos in the future, now it seems that there are also indications that the iPad might also be able to make phone calls. Folks who have been fiddling with the new SDK have been able to get the “touch to return call” bar to appear on the iPad emulator, just like how it would appear on the iPhone (though obviously larger). So what does this mean? It’s hard to guess at the moment, but maybe the options are in place in the event Apple does decide to allow you to make phone calls with the iPad? That would probably start the rumor mill churning again.
