Nvidia has released the specifications for its Fermi-based GF100 GPU, where it will come with 512 CUDA processors, 16 geometry units, 384-bit GDDR5 memory bus and 48 ROP engines. Apart from that, the GF100 is also tipped to feature a quartet of raster units, 64 texture units and DirectX 11 support to keep up with the times. There are some questions to be answered despite the inclusion of such interesting technology within, including the extremely practical issues of pricing, power consumption, clock speeds and thermal issues.
