The next logical evolution in Blu-ray players would be the inclusion of the 3D Blu-ray standard, and Samsung wants to be first off the blocks with the BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray player, retailing for $400. Of course, to ensure maximum compatibility and enjoyment out of this device, you would do well to pair it up with Samsung’s own range of 3D HDTVs – their word, not ours. No idea on a release date yet, but it is comforting to know that 3D in High Definition is within grasp of the average Joe.
Update: It seems that this was an apparent glitch, with the BD-C6900 taken off Amazon’s site. Let us hope that they were serious about the price when it resurfaces in the future though.
