Self-auctioning box

Never mind about self-aware robots – here is a cube that puts itself on auction perpetually as long as it is connected to the Internet thanks to a clever combination of custom programming and hardware. Every ten minutes that passes by will see this black box ping a server over the Internet through its Ethernet connection, checking whether it is for sale on eBay. Once the auction has ended or it has been sold, it will automatically create a new auction of itself – talk about being self-centered! We figure this would probably start a whole new auction more often than seeing itself sold. Each successful sale will require the current owner to send it over to the new owner, where similar instructions must be followed upon receipt to keep the cycle going. Interesting social experiment, this.
