We’ve mentioned the Transfer Jet technology to you a while back, but in case you forgot, it’s a short-range point-to-point communications protocol, allowing you to transfer files wirelessly at speeds of up to 560Mbps by holding the devices close to each other. Earlier reports indicated that Sony would be integrating the technology into its Memory Stick Pro cards, and now this has become a reality. At a press conference held in Tokyo, the company introduced an 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo with Transfer Jet. You can certainly expect to see 16GB and 32GB sizes to follow suit. Will the technology catch on? We certainly hope so.
