
If your laptop doesn’t sport any cool features like multitouch, Synaptics might have a way to make your laptop’s touchpad cool again, with its Scrybe software. Basically the software will augment Windows’ existing touch functionality, allowing you to add context-specific gestures and motions. You’ll even be able to edit photos, look up word definitions and more. Synaptics is planning to strike up partnerships with manufacturers to get the software installed as standard, which customers will certainly welcome. Press release.
