Windows Mobile 2016 Is Being Looked Into

Microsoft has confirmed that it is working with its partners to sort out the issue of folks receiving text messages from the 2016. Apparently the problem seems limited to HTC phones that are running on Sprint’s network. Have you been experiencing similar problems? An unofficial fix was previously posted, though an official solution will certainly be more welcome. Hopefully they’ll be able to sort this issue out soon. After all, it seems rather spooky to receive messages from the future, right?

HTC: High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC) is a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets. The company started as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) that was building devices for others, but went on making HTC-branded smartphones based mostly on Microsoft's Windows operating system (OS) for mobile. In 2009, it began to shift its core focus away from Windows mobile devices to Android-based ones. In 2010 the company went back to the Windows Phone eco-system.

Sprint: Sprint is one of the major wireless carriers in the USA. It uses a mix of CDMA, WiMax and LTE Networks as the backbone of its infrastructure. The company's network is also used by third parties and mobile virtual operators like Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, and Assurance Wireless. Sprint has about 55M subscribers.
