While there is a handful of music search engines out there that are based on YouTube music video, Google certainly wasn’t going to sit down and wait to leave this segment all alone. They have come up with their own music playlist maker for YouTube, where it is known as the YouTube Music Discovery Project. Check out its relatively clean interface in the snapshot above, and you can never have enough Smashing Pumpkins. You will be able to enter just about any query for a music group or artist, where it will be followed by a playlist that pops up alongside a thumbnail video and a description of the band. This is still an experimental product, so expect a number of kinks to be worked out still before it is polished as a final product.
