ZAGGbox is a technologically-infused multi-functional media box that brings together home entertainment and personal media into a single device. Well, expectations of the ZAGGbox do run high especially after taking $35 million to develop and six, long years. Capable of recording, storing and playback of most media files (photos, videos and music included), it can also read and transcode any video codec simultaneously into a couple of formats – TV ready as well as the other for the iPhone/iPod population. Apart from that, the ZAGGbox also doubles up as a universal remote control that features an easy-to-use UI to get you started. All stored video content can also be streamed to a mobile Internet device, further expanding its capabilities. Pre-orders for the ZAGGbox are already being taken, where it will hit stores sometime in Q1 later this year. The price range pretty much fluctuates though from $500 to $1,000, so you know that this is definitely not going to be an impulse purchase if you want to save your marriage from further breakdown.
