
And hopefully not a bad one, heh! It seems as though Asus is going to take a page out of Apple’s books, letting slip that it is working on a killer device which would help it achieve the status and prestige that Apple currently basks in. The long run would see Asus be another Apple, albeit boasting as an open-source alternative which will run on Android and Chrome OS instead of being a closed option. As for the aforementioned killer product, it could very well be the Eee Pad that has been long rumored but yet to see the light of day. Chances are the Eee Pad will go up against Apple’s iPad (spot the similarities in the name?), where it will most probably remain under the $500 price point while running on Android and NVIDIA’s Tegra 250 chipset.
