Cinedeck Allows You To Capture And Edit High-res Footage On The Go

Lugging around heavy recording gear certainly isn’t any filmmaker’s dream, so it seems that the Cinedeck might have found a nice place in the market for itself. The Cinedeck is a digital video recorder that’s 8-inches wide and weighs in at just 4 pounds. You’ll be able to hook up your camera that outputs HDMI or HDSDI into the Cinedeck’s solid-state drives. Aside from storing your videos and playing them nicely, the on-board Intel Core 2 Extreme quad qx9300 processor powers the Windows OS inside, allowing you to hook up a mouse, keyboard and larger monitor to get some serious work done. The Cinedeck should be able to handle resolutions up to 1080p. Despite the company planning to roll out updated versions of this device for 3D shooting and higher-resolution 2K film, the price of it is still $7995. So if you’re seriously intent on getting one of these, you might want to check your bank balance first. Press release.
