Have an old coffee can lying around with some spare time on your hands? The Coffee Can Clock sure looks as though it will work wonders in helping you keep the earth green while telling the time to whomever looks at it. It uses electronics based on Wiseduino (Arduino clone with DS1307 real time clock on board) alongside a LED matrix shield located on top. The shield itself is built with 74HC595 shift registers which drive two bi-color (red, green, and orange by subtraction) 8×8 LED matrices. Basically, everything inside functions like clockwork (pun not intended) to let you know of the current time in a digital format.
