WiMAX might not be as popular as Wi-Fi, but it’s certainly gaining traction and Dell looks like it wants to take advantage of that. The Dell Mini 10 has recently paid a visit to the FCC to be approved, and amongst the specs you’ll note that it sports WiMAX. Built-in WiMAX would certainly be very useful to folks who use WiMAX often, as you won’t have to stick a chubby USB device into a netbook. Considering that Sprint supports WiMAX, there’s certainly a possibility that the carrier might be keen to offer this netbook on a subsidy. Will built-in WiMAX be a criteria for your next computer, or would you rather just save the money and use an external device?
