Denon’s latest S-5BD Blu-ray player, also known as Cara, is one giant of a device. After all, it tips the scales at a rather hefty 7.8kgs, and dropping it on your toes while carrying it will definitely hurt (not to mention the pain your bank account feels when you fork out £1,999 for this puppy. The Cara will come with 5.1-channel surround sound, two-source, two-room distribution capabilities, BD-Live and HDMI 1.4. In addition, you will find it boasting an SD memory card slot and iPod/iPhone digital direct playback through USB. Since it will be released later next month, at least you have some time left to save up for this (with the missus’ approval, of course).
