Fret not, the latest redsn0w 0.9.3 iPhone jailbreak utility is able to enable the tethering capability. Once redsn0w is executed, you will still need to download a custom IPCC file (carrier bundle) that informs you whether your iPhone is allowed to tether on a given carrier.
