The Pi ebook reader from an Indian online book store does look like the Kindle from Amazon somewhat, and it caters to an extremely niche market since it is the only ebook reader that is capable of supporting all the official languages spoken in that part of the world. It isn’t heavy at a mere 180 grams, measuring 1cm thin. You will find 512MB of internal memory inside, while an SD memory card slot allows you to augment that amount by another 4GB. The manufacturer claims that it can hold up to 500 ebooks on average in its internal memory, with other specifications including a microUSB 2.0 port for connectivity options. No word on pricing for the hardware as well as content, but this looks set to be an India-only device.
