Twitter hits 50 million tweets per day

Here’s some trivia – contrary to folks who claim that Twitter has leveled off in terms of users and tweets, some interesting number crunching has resulted in Twitter users sending out over 50 million tweets each day – basically translated to 600 tweets going through Twitter’s network each second.
