
You might have missed our blow-by-blow account of the Windows Phone 7 announcement at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona, Spain, but thankfully there are always archives to refer to. So if Windows Phone 7 were to be released to the masses, what would become of Windows Mobile 6.5.3? This stop-gap measure will be relegated to be known as “Windows Phone Classic”, which is a good thing since it means that Microsoft isn’t going to kill support for that platform anytime soon.
