Reports are in that Acer is planning to launch a new ultra-thin notebook in the second half of 2010. The best part is that this notebook will apparently feature a touch keyboard, and use the back of the panel’s glass substrate as the cover. The use of a touch keyboard will certainly be a big factor in helping Acer keep the notebook’s thickness at bay. Is thickness and weight a major factor when you consider purchasing a new notebook, or are you strong enough to lug a notebook around, no matter how big or bulky? With more and more manufacturers coming up with ultra thin notebooks, it seems that we won’t need to be going to the gym so often in order to be able to lug our notebook around all day.
