Active Media Products has a brand new SATA DOM (Disk on Module) drive which is capable of offering far superior performance compared to PATA DOMs where embedded computing applications are concerned. This new range supports sequential read and write speeds up to 100MB/sec and 42MB/sec, respectively. Just what is a DOM, you ask? Well, it is a tiny flash-based storage drive which can be plugged straight into an industry standard port on most motherboards. You can pick up the 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models for $69, $89 and $189, respectively.
