While it seems that the previous “built-in projector for the iPad” rumor didn’t become reality, it’s still worth noting that Apple has been granted a patent for a projector related application. In the patent filing, it’s stated that a projector could not only be fit into an iPhone or MacBook, but also other devices such as an Airport Express. Such a product would be able to function as a router, as well as a wireless hub, getting projector video feeds from other devices over the network. This certainly seems like an interesting idea to be mass produced, after all, getting rid of cables related to projectors would make setting up presentations so much easier, wouldn’t it?
