
While you might still be waiting for the Android 2.1 update for the Archos 5 (read our review), here is a little something to tide you over until that fateful day arrives – with the 1.7.95 firmware update that will feature a bunch of new features as detailed in the image above. We’re stoked that there is a new “deep sleep” mode that helps prolong battery life while improving Wi-Fi connectivity to keep you online in a more stable manner. Apart from that, there is also a revamped system monitor application which helps free up even more memory by closing all open apps with but a single click.
