Over in Japan, Buffalo has announced a new series of solid state disks (SSD), the SHD-NSU2, which offers capacities of 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, and will set you back $160, $230, $440, and $840 respectively. These drives will offer 64MB of DRAM cache, and offers read speeds up to 175MB/s, though surprisingly there isn’t any information of write speeds. We certainly don’t mind more SSDs in the market; after all, competition is healthy. These SSDs will be available in Japan in April, and might even be available outside of Japan (fingers crossed).
