Here’s a little bad news for potential owners of the Dell Aero, as sources indicate that the phone will follow the path of the Motorola Backflip, and will not be allowed to run unsigned Android applications. This restriction is most likely put in place by AT&T, as the carrier refuses to allow unsigned applications to run on any Android device that has been launched by it. Will consumers be deterred from purchasing the Dell Aero by this update? If you purchased the Dell Aero without knowing this little tidbit, it wouldn’t be too surprising if you get more than a little upset. Do you think that carriers should be allowed to prevent the installation of unsigned applications, or is it well within their rights?
