If you’re wondering whether being a Palm Developer has any perks, it seems that there are. Palm is currently offering a 20% discount and free 2-day shipping on its devices to Palm Developers. The bad news is that while the phones are contract-free, they’re carrier-locked to Verizon and Sprint, which probably doesn’t seem too smart on Palm’s part, especially when you take into account that the Palm Pre costs $439 on Palm’s website.
