DSiWare games cannot be transferred to DSi XL

For those who have picked up the Nintendo DSi XL in the US, you might be disappointed to know that all your DSiWare games purchased for your DSi cannot be transffered over to the spanking new DSi XL, which means you will need to re-purchase them on the XL in order to play them. According to a Nintendo spokesperson, they are currently “looking into that specific topic” but do not have a workaround as at press time. This doesn’t bode too well in terms of public relations since that would mean having consumers fork out more money to play the same game which they already own – albeit on a different platform.
