The HTC Desire hasn’t been released yet, but it looks like it’s already getting a new feature. This Android-powered device will apparently be getting DivX playback functionality, and possibly 720p encoding capabilities. The DivX playback capability should be added in a future update, apparently because the feature couldn’t be finalized in time for the handset’s launch. Would DivX playback be the feature that could tip this phone in your favor, or is it just another gimmick to you?
