IBM cloud-connected netbook

Cloud computing looks set to take off in a big way, and IBM is working with Canonical and Simmtronics to offer emerigng markets a new fully loaded, cloud-connected netbook which won’t break the bank at $190 a pop. Originally available in South Africa and emerging markets, it will soon be expanded to African countries as well, arriving in India, Thailand and Vietnam later on. Known as the Simmbook, it will come preloaded with IBM Client for Smart Work, running on Ubuntu from Canonical as its operating system of choice. Would this win out over regular netbooks in the long run? Guess the consumers will have to decide on that.
