Could Google be showing more defiance towards the Chinese Government? Reports seem to indicate that Google’s Chinese search engine is returning results for previously censored searches, such as issues related to the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests. Even searching for key words such as “Tiananmen Square massacre”, “Xinjiang independence” and “Tibet Information Network” turned up long lists of previously censored results. According to Google, they have not changed their operations, so either this is some incredibly convenient technical error by someone, or something is going on. What do you think will be the final outcome between Google and the Chinese Government?
