In a recent talk at the University of Washington, it seems that Steve Ballmer might have indirectly hinted at some new Xbox form factors in the future. According to the transcript of the Q&A session, he mentioned:
“For that big screen device … there’s no diversity. You get exactly the Xboxes that we build for you. We may have more form factors in the future that are designed for various price points and options, but we think it’s going to [be] important.”
With that in mind, you can start imagining different form factors, though there isn’t any concrete information on how a new Xbox might look like. Of course, most users would want the device to be slimmed down, maybe like the PS3 slim, though some are hoping that there might be Project Natal hardware built into the console itself, and if that were the case, we’re sure most of you wouldn’t mind the Xbox getting a tad bigger to accommodate that.
