Nice to know that developers have taken some steps to include Java compatibility on the Android platform, especially Zurich-based Myriad who came up with a spanking new tool called J2Android. J2Android will convert Java MIDlet apps so that they can run on Android seamlessly.

Myriad J2Android delivers automatic conversion of compiled MIDlets into Android applications, providing a trouble-free and cost-effective solution. Further software features include adaptive screen scaling and the ability to apply virtual keypads and softkeys, allowing both users and content owners to benefit from full use of the screen estate.

It would be nice to see the different types of applications and games made available with this development, eh?
