If you were wondering whether Amazon might be able to see eye-to-eye with Apple regarding eBooks, it looks like there is some hope, as Amazon’s website is currently boasting its Kindle Apps for Tablet Computers, which also supports Apple’s upcoming iPad. It functions similarly to the iPhone Kindle app, with Whispersync technology and allows you to access all of the books you’ve purchased for Kindle. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this development might (or might not) affect Amazon’s Kindle eBook reader. After all, this means that iPad users won’t have much need for a Kindle eBook reader. Do you think that this is a smart move from Amazon, or did the online giant just shoot itself in the foot?
